About
Dr O'Hara qualified from Trinity College Dublin in 2000. After completing vocational GP training in 2004, she travelled and worked in Australia for a year before returning to Ireland to work as a full-time GP. She completed a Masters in Medical Ultrasound in 2010 and also holds a Diploma in Women's Health.

She is the principal GP of a busy practice in Westmeath, and enjoys working with chronic disease, particularly medicine for older adults, diabetes and obesity management. Continuity of care is of particular importance to her, which makes general practice a very rewarding career, and well-placed to support members of BeyondBMI.
Outside the clinic, Dr O'Hara has four active teenage children. Her passions are walking and singing in a local Gospel choir.
