Talk through how treatment has felt, including side effects and dosing, with your doctor. Your doctor supports you all the way, not just at the prescription.
A plateau is not the same as no treatment effect. A review explores what has changed and what could help.
Protect the progress you’ve made, or restart after a break, with medical, nutrition and coaching support together.
Decide how to start your weight loss and medication journey with BeyondBMI. Whether it’s a free chat with our care team, an initial doctor’s consultation for €89 or heading straight into the programme, you get immediate access to and support from our leading clinical team.

A 25-minute consultation with a SCOPE-certified obesity doctor, covering your health history, current medicines and goals, then a treatment plan agreed with you. Your doctor confirms eligibility at this first appointment.
Prescribed only where it suits you clinically, with the dose and any side effects managed by your team throughout. Medication is paid for separately.
A 45-minute dietitian assessment with practical, personal advice on food and eating, a nurse check-in on side effects in month two, and regular health coaching on goals, routines and habits.

One-off. No commitment beyond it.
One to one, by secure video, at a time that suits you, with an Irish-registered doctor who specialises in obesity medicine and has time for your questions.
The medicines and doses you have used, side effects, progress and what could change, with a doctor who can review your plan.
Your doctor talks you through the options and agrees a plan with you, including GLP‑1 medication where it is clinically appropriate. A consultation does not guarantee a prescription.
The €89 covers the doctor’s time and assessment. You decide what comes next, and the 90-Day Programme is a natural optional next step.
Medication is paid for separately.
Answer a few questions about your weight, goals and medical history. We’ll recommend the treatment that fits.
An Irish-registered obesity specialist doctor reviews your answers and meets you by video to build your 90-Day Programme.

Where GLP‑1 medication is clinically appropriate, your doctor prescribes it, and we can arrange a pharmacy and delivery to your door.
Your nurse, dietitian and health coach stay with you through the 90-day journey, with regular check-ins and reviews along the way.
Your doctor looks at the whole picture before agreeing a plan. Here is how common situations are approached.
If side effects or other health issues held you back, your doctor looks at your dose, how consistently you could take it and your wider health. Sometimes a different treatment strategy may be considered.
Plateaus are normal and expected, and weight-stable is not the same as no treatment effect. Your team can adjust nutrition, activity or medication to support the next phase.
Tell us your current medicine, dose and prescriber. Overlapping prescriptions need disclosure, so your doctor reviews your history before deciding how BeyondBMI care could continue.
Restarting usually means titrating again rather than picking up where you left off. Your doctor also reviews why you stopped, whether side effects, cost, supply or life.
The same structured programme, with your treatment history informing each review from the first appointment.

A full doctor consultation with history review and treatment plan, a 45-minute dietitian assessment with practical advice on food and eating, and your first health-coaching session.
A nurse review, including a side-effect check-in, and a health-coaching session, with nurse support available between appointments.
Doctor, dietitian and health coach reviews adjust your plan, with a next steps review around day 80.
Many patients move to a lower maintenance dose once they reach their target weight. Protein, resistance exercise and coaching help protect muscle and habits.
Your next steps review includes ongoing-care planning. You can continue in the same format or move to lighter-touch ongoing care.

“I think I would have quit. I would have been like, okay, this isn’t working, I’m done.”
Sinéad, on facing a plateau without support
Before. Stairs left her breathless, her joints and feet hurt, and she felt self-conscious at the beach.
The support. Dr Alvin Mondoh reviewed her history and reassured her when she hit plateaus: “No, this is okay.”
The pace. Her dietitian, coach and doctor reviewed progress together. By three months she’d lost her first stone, and they reminded her it’s not a race.
Sinéad’s own account, 21 months into her care. Individual results vary. Captions are part of the video.
How much weight have you lost since being with BeyondBMI? I’m going to say, I think it’s approximately 30 kilos.
Oh, if I was going upstairs, I’d definitely be out of breath a lot quicker. Pains on joints, even plantar fasciitis, probably because I had extra weight on me. And just being not confident in myself. Like, you’re conscious, like if you’re going to the beach, I wouldn’t put on a bikini, I’d put on a swimsuit.
Dr Alvin is brilliant. He’s very empathetic. So we discussed my history, and he was asking how I got on, and really, really supportive when I hit plateaus. He was like, “No, this is okay.”
Do you think you would have got through that plateau without that support? Absolutely not. No, I think I would have quit. I would have been like, “Okay, this isn’t working, I’m done.”
By three months I’d lost my first 14 pounds, which is a stone. So you set up your appointments with the nutritionist, and you set up appointments with the wellness coach and your doctor, and you discuss how your progress is going. And it was actually them who were like, “No, that’s normal… it’s not a race.” And it is absolutely not a race.
I would say just pick up the phone and make that call. Have the consultation. The nurses are brilliant, and they’re really, really informative, so they will tell you the next steps and what’s going to happen.
Absolutely, and I think it’s a really good investment. I think we should all invest in ourselves.
